IT was the race he most wanted to win - and on Saturday, February 9, Dougal Allan raced to an epic win in the Longest Day section of the Kathmandu Coast To Coast, powered by blackcurrants.
The New Zealand CurraNZ ambassador lifted the World Multisport Championship title with a 15-minute margin after racing 243km and taking the lead in the kayaking section.
For Allan, this race represented 'unfinished business' after three previous seconds in six attempts in the iconic New Zealand race, that attracts a stellar international field.
Dougal, who has become a huge advocate for CurraNZ after putting blackcurrant extract to the test for the last 18 months, credits the supplement for providing him with great consistency in his recovery, training and racing - and wouldn't be without it.
